BedSaver    Bed Wetting Alarms

Helps to eliminate night time incontinence or nocturnal enuresis

Nocturnal enuresis (NE) is the involuntary voiding of urine during sleep. This condition is more commonly known as bed wetting. While loss of bladder control during the night is often associated with young children, seniors may also suffer from involuntary urination for a number of reasons including medication side effects, urinary tract infections, prostate problems, neurological issues and even anxiety

Reduce the likelihood of  bed wetting.

BedSaver is a bed wetting alarm that awakens the user from sleep as soon as an accident begins. BedSaver bed wetting sheets go under the sheet the person is lying on, and will immediately detect any urine as soon as it happens, transmit the signal to sound the alarm, in turn awakening the user or the carer.

Once awoken, the user can stop the flow of urine, finish voiding in the bathroom and return to bed. BedSaver bed wetting sheets are dryable, and re-useable.

Eventually, the body is conditioned to wake up with the urge to urinate before wetting the bed. Like bladder volume training, this treatment option takes some weeks to work, requiring motivation and commitment. In many cases of bed wetting, BedSaver bed wetting alarms will help the user overcome the condition.

Why do bed wetting alarms work?

When bed wetting is found not to have been caused by any physiological dysfunction of the urinary system, one of the most effective methods of treatment is to use a bed wetting alarm.
A bed wetting alarm will arouse the individual from sleep as soon as a wetness incident starts.
The BedSaver audible alarm is triggered by a wet-detection pad on top of the bedding, or under the bedsheet.
The bed wetting alarm treatment uses a classic conditioning technique, and this is the reason it works.

Once the person with the problem is awoken by the alarm, they should be able to consciously stop the flow of urine, get up and empty their bladder in the usual way in the toilet. Over time the body is conditioned by the sound of the alarm to awake when the urge to urinate occurs before having a bedwetting accident. This treatment will take time to work, and is most effective when there is no diminished bladder capacity and so is awakened many times during the night by the alarm. In addition if the person who has been having only a couple of bedwetting episodes at night, the BedSaver alarms have proven effective in helping the user overcome the problem
